Thursday Outing
Brian had an unexpected adventure today when Mark decided to take him out in his travel bowl. The small orange traveller was carefully secured in his portable aquatic home as Mark carried him to the car. They embarked on a short drive down to the village square, the sunlight erupting all around them, as Brian took in the moving scenery with quiet curiosity.
Once there, Mark found a sunny bench where they could relax together. As Mark unwrapped his snack and sipped a drink, he shared bits of conversation with Brian. The golden boy swam gentle loops in his bowl, seemingly taking in the bustle of passersby. Children pointed and smiled, couples strolled by, and pigeons strutted across the cobblestones—all part of the afternoon’s quiet spectacle.
Though Brian couldn’t eat the snacks, he soaked up te warmth of the sun filtering through the glass of his temporary vessel. The gentle hum of the town, the rhythm of Mark’s voice, and the novelty of the world beyond his tank made it a truly memorable outing.
By the time they returned home, Brian appeared content, his tiny fins fluttering with satisfaction. It had been a perfectly unexpected day out. And on a Thursday!
